Software download policy revision

We are announcing the revision of the Bing Ads Software Download policy, effective September 12th, 2016.
At Microsoft, we strive to provide a safe and secure environment for our users and valued customers. The revisions to our Software Download policy are meant to ensure a clean experience for our users while they are interacting with products promoted within our ad network. The revisions to the policy also ensure that our requirements meet prevalent industry standards.
The updates revolve mostly around the concept of user choice and control as paramount to the user experience, in order to ensure that users are always in full control of software installed on their devices. We are also strengthening our requirements in key areas, like unauthorized software distribution for example.  
This policy change reflects Microsoft’s commitment to lead the industry in providing a safer experience for all of our end users.
