Don’t miss this opportunity to increase your retail traffic

Looking for more retail traffic for your Bing Shopping Campaigns? Bing is testing a new shopping  experience to give advertisers an additional opportunity to engage with the Bing audience through Product Ads by including rich product details in their Bing Merchant Center feeds.  Product Ads offer a rich, engaging ad format for retailers to connect with consumers searching for products on Bing. We’ve started tests of a new experience in the United States on Bing.com to help consumers easily find products that meet their criteria. 
 

How is this experience triggered?

For certain queries like “laptops”, some users may see the title of the Product Ads block as clickable.

After clicking the title, users land on the new shopping experience, where they see additional product options from multiple retailers. They can also narrow down their options using a rich set of filters and buy their chosen product on the retailer’s website. Shoppers can click on the product title to view the buying options and additional product information and specifications.
 

 

How can retailers participate in this experience?

This experience is powered by Bing Shopping Campaigns and Product Ads. If you’re a participating retailer, your products are already eligible to show up on the new shopping experience. If you’re new to Bing Shopping Campaigns and Product Ads, please begin by reading about Product Ads in Bing Shopping Campaigns.  

To increase the likelihood of your product offers appearing in this experience, we’re recommending the following steps to all retailers:
 
1.    Provide product identifiers for all eligible product offers in the feed:
  • Global Trade Item Number (GTIN)
  • Brand
  • Manufacturer Part Number (MPN)

2.    Provide product category for all Apparel and Accessories offers. 
3.    For all Apparel and Accessories offers, provide these attributes:
  • Color
  • Age group
  • Gender
  • Size
    • Size type (optional)
    • Size system (optional)
  • Item group ID (optional)
  • Pattern (optional)
  • Material (optional)
4.    Product images: 
  • Provide multiple images, up to 10, if available.
  • The recommended image size is at least 300 x 300 pixels for all products.
