Bing Ads Editor supports eCPC and makes it easier to adopt Expanded Text Ads

Looking for ways to increase conversions? Thinking about migrating your standard text ads to Expanded Text Ads to improve campaign performance? Bing Ads Editor version 11.9 is here to help with two new features: support for Enhanced Cost Per Click (eCPC) and exporting standard text ads in Expanded Text Ads format.


Enhanced CPC

Since its release last August, customers have been using Enhanced CPC to get a better return on investment. Today, we’re excited to share that Enhanced CPC is now supported in Bing Ads Editor as well!


What is Enhanced CPC?

Enhanced CPC improves your chance of increasing sales leads and conversions by automatically adjusting your bids in real time. It allows Bing Ads to adjust yours bids up to 30% higher for searchers that are more likely to convert and up to 100% lower on searchers that are less likely to convert. Some of the benefits could include:
  • An increase in campaign conversions
  • A decrease in cost per acquisition
  • An improved return on investment in Bing Ads

How to enable Enhanced CPC

Enable Enhanced CPC for your campaign in Bing Ads Editor by selecting Enhanced CPC as the option for Bid strategy type.
 

 
The bid strategy can be changed for ad groups and keywords if required. For more details, please check out our Help page.


Export standard text ads in Expanded Text Ads format

Expanded Text Ads is a new mobile-optimized ad format that gives you more ad space to grab your customers’ attention. This can help lead to higher conversion rates for your business. To make it easier for you to adopt Expanded Text Ads, we’re providing functionality that allows you to export your standard text ads to the Expanded Text Ads format. You can then make any necessary changes and import them back as Expanded Text Ads.

Simply select the standard text ads you want to export from the grid and click Export as Expanded Text Ads within the Export as drop-down menu.
 

 
Notes:
  1. Do not forget to add Title Part 2 in the exported file, which is a mandatory field for Expanded Text Ads.
  2. Path 1 and Path 2 are optional.
  3. Ad text can have up to 80 characters.
