Bing Rich Captions — getting started
Drive traffic to your sites for free with Bing Rich Captions. When customers search and your product pages appear in the organic search results, the product information you’ve submitted via a feed will appear below the blue links in the search results. Price and availability information appears and is listed as long as the URLs of the feed and of the search results for your products match. Offering the details potential customers need helps them make informed decisions about the ads they want to click on, putting them closer to a purchase decision.
To get started, first make sure you’re eligible to participate in the Rich Captions Program:
- Your store must be domiciled in the United States. A good test is if your company or U.S. subsidiary has a U.S. Employer Identification Number (EIN).
- You must conduct transactions in U.S. Dollars (USD).
- You must conduct legal transactions.
- You must not sell illegal or restricted products.
Please refer to our Bing Merchant Center help article for instructions on how to create a Bing Merchant store and successfully submit a data feed.
For support or questions related to your Bing Merchant account, data feed or other issue, please fill out our Bing Rich Captions support form.
Note: Rich Captions requires a new file at least every 30 days. After a file is over 30 days old, the product information will no longer be displayed.
Data quality: The price and availability data that you submit in your feed must match the information on your website. Bing may disable the Bing Merchant Center accounts of the merchants who submit feeds with inaccurate information for Rich Captions.
